Sustainability

Isobel Kelly Jewellery uses 100% recycled fine silver, sterling silver and gold metals. Where possible, laboratory grown precious stones are selected, which have the same chemical and physical structure as stones formed naturally. Gemstones are purchased from trusted suppliers who ensure they source their stones from reputable dealers.

Care

Here are some simple methods you can use to keep your jewellery looking its best:

An obvious one but try not to knock or bang items on sharp or rough surfaces and save special pieces for occasional wear. Take jewellery off if exercising or cleaning to prevent it tarnishing or trapping dirt. To clean jewellery, use a soft toothbrush and mild soap to gently scrub the surface and remove dirt. Some surface finishes are more prone to damage or wear than others. Plating with gold, oxidation effects and satin finishes can wear over time so take extra care with these items.

Guide to ring sizing

Finding a perfect fit can be tricky, especially because our fingers change shape over the course of the day. Our knuckle size and finger shapes also vary, both between individuals and as we get older.

If you have thicker fingers, a chunkier band can help fingers look slimmer whist thin fingers can benefit from daintier bands. If you have quite thin knuckles, you will want a ring to fit snuggly at the base of your finger because your knuckle will not stop the ring from slipping off. Wider knuckles need a ring that slips over the knuckle but requires mild force to remove. You may wish to measure your knuckle if you have wider knuckles or the base of your finger if you have narrow knuckles, to determine ring size and get a good fit. Our fingers change size over the day so when measuring up for a ring, take a few measurements over the day and then average this.

To take a measurement for a ring you can use an existing ring that fits well, if you know the ring size. String looped around your finger and then flattened against a ruler can give you your circumference measurement (cm or mm). Alternatively, use a ring gauge paper slip which you can loop over the finger and tighten.

Please note that it is the customers responsibility to accurately state their ring size. Liability for wrongly stated ring sizes are not accepted.
